We hit Fish Lake from 4/29-5/1, flyfishing from pontoons. There were three of us and each got 40+ fish each day. Most were the smaller recent plants, with the largest being 15-16". We found fish in deep water, full sink lines / sink tips - with olive / black WB's, SLSB's & carey specials, in the shallower water on San Juan worm / #18 black chronie, fished as a tandem rig, even one brown on an 18 parachute Adams. Didn't get any of the notorious big guys, but I did get to see one chasing a smaller trout - the small guy quit jumping, to escape, after the second big swirl. The lake is thick with osprey, and it is easy pickin's for them. Had one take a perch on the surface 20' from the pontoon. Immature bald eagle, turkey vultures, Anna's hummingbird were a few of the other bird seen. Surface temp was 57 degrees. Weather was sunny to partly cloudy, short sleeves for part of the three days
