Woke up early this morning and drove down to the river, only to find my usual haunts already occupied. Decided to try elsewhere so I went scouting around Kent, and found a nice hole loaded with fish. They weren't really receptive to jigs, as I only caught 1 hen which was dime bright. Switched over to drift gear, and I started hammering them. Every few cast I'd hook up, they were just hammering my offering. A few times the rod was almost ripped out of my hands. C&R quite a few fish, before ending my limit with 5 hens and a buck. Not gonna lie, the majority of the fish were half brights, but they were still sporting sea lice. Must be low river spawners? Gonna hit it again in the morning.
