It was another beautiful opening day on Wapato lake, sunny and calm. It was quiet early; I don't think there were as many boats as previous years. My son and I pushed off at 5:15. We had nine good sized rainbows caught and released in the first hour. We trolled a variety of lures and released a total of 27 fish. Five of these were 1 1/2 to 2 pound trips. Off the lake at noon.
