Was able to wade alittle this time, got onto the river at Daybreak Park and walked downstream through the next four deeper holes... caught 6 fish total but they ranged from 3 inches to 5 inches and all were juveniles or smolt or babies (whatever you want to call them), still had the vertical bars and they were hammering my mepps number 1 spinner. had a great day on the river, better than being at work, still looking for fish though.

If your after steelhead use #3-4 blue fox silver on silver or char body silver blade the small meps will catch small fish if after trout use #2blue or meps 1 is little small and light.good luck going try east fork this coming week a haven't been in year.

Thank You!! I havent even seen any fish of good size on the E. Fork other than up at the falls... I am not even sure if that is the east fork or the main branch but we did see some huge fish trying to get up the falls. Thank You for the tip on the mepps I am using a bass rod that is med. light action so a #3-4 mepps pulls pretty hard on it, I am slowly working my way up to that size and being used to the way it feels. I am still really new to the fishing scene here and am really trying to find places to fish, east fork is fairly close so it is a quick trip.
