Fished Sammamish River this evening under the 90th St bridge in Redmond. I heard people caught rainbow and cutthroat trout on this river, but I wasn't this lucky. I caught 3 squawfish, from 9 to 12 inches on a wooly bugger. I'm not a big fan of squawfish and always feel distasteful when they make this weird noise when you grab them in the palm to get them out of the water. And they look ugly. During the whole time, I didn't see any fish rising, so I kept using the wooly bugger and kept getting (and losing) squawfish. At last it caught the tree and gave me a good reason to stop. Not much fun. (It would be fun if there is some kind of bounty! Like they do on Columbia River :-)
