Bought some poppers hoping to try fly fishing for smallies for the first time. Got down to the 9mile launch planning on trying the confluence, but judging by the amount of cars it was packed. Went over to the raft take out area and tried there. Tried a couple of different wolly buggers with no luck. Caught a dink on a nymph, nothing special. Tried a mosquito since I was being eaten alive but no luck. Still had a good time. A ton of cars pulled in and watched me, hope they weren't trying to learn because I'm a beginner and by no means know what the heck I'm doing still!
