I first started fishing this creek when I was 16 and now I am gonna be 43 very soon! All I can say is honestly I feel the "Pain" in my bones after crawling over all the log jams! Every year this creek changes from the flood waters of winter, this year was easier than the past years. Some areas have opened up and the chinook smolt are thick getting ready to run out to sea.

The native "Cuts" are averaging 11- 12" and as usual fight like "Pit Bulls on Crank"! Today was a take picture day! Caught a fish every other log jam and sometimes in the rapids next to the tall grass banks. I am asking all... catch and release here if ya read this post. For many past years it was catch and release, these are natives let's keep them here!

Posting a pic of a nice specimin and the view while taking a break in the rain forest.

Beautiful little native! Nicely done.
Love to see the C&R on native cutts in our fragile smaller west-side streams.

I will knock a hatchery hot dog trout or even a little perch out of a lake as well as anyone but the natives are precious little buggers that have had to really fight to grow to any size at all and the bigger ones (even 7-8 inches) are mega important in spawning and maintaining reliable populations.
Handle them with care everyone :-)

I'm always looking for a great trout stream to relax and enjoy the experience. I don't want you to give away your hole but where is waddel and how can I get back to it? Is there an area to park and hike or is it relatively easy access.
