What a great opening day at my favorite lake in Skagit County. This tiny lake was stocked with 6,000 good sized trout. We all caught our limits in about three hours. We caught a total of 20 fish. The kids loved it, but when you're 11yo and 7yo anything that bites is a real thrill. My wife and 2yo daughter also had a great time.
It took a little while to figure out that they wanted gold colored hot shots and flat fish. They also started to hit rainbow trout colored flat fish.
Gonna try McMurray tomorrow.
