4/18/2011 6:59:00 PMYou missed it by 5 years. There is way too many Pike in that river. The best fishing is from Dalkena upstream to the Cusick-Gardner Slough area. Its hard to catch a big one on a lure anymore. Use a bobber and a dead perch and your MONEY!

I fish at Oldtown more as it is much closer to me. I got a nice 12 lb+ fish just the other day on a swimbait there, so you can catch big ones on lures just as well as with bait. I never bait fish after the water warms up, no need to . If you need info on the river at Oldtown I could help you out. It can be hazardous to navigate if you don't know it.
