4/18/2011 8:37:00 AMA couple of safety tips - If you take a pontoon boat in a river, you need to have an anchor system. Second, ditch the flippers and use the oars. Good to hear you made it out ok.

4/18/2011 10:07:00 AMYou lost your pole and your phone?! And I thought losing my stringer and a lure was bad (see Beaver Lake report). Good for you for saying "It is what it is". It can be very hard to not let that stuff get to you. Lessons learned for the next time. Tight lines.

Fullstringer if your going to fish Samammish River/slough -- stick to lures,flies and make sure it has single barbless hooks.

4/18/2011 3:55:00 PMIm suprised there isnt more reports on this river because there is a good amount of cutthroat trout, bass, perch, squawfish, and a few bluegill.

4/24/2011 11:08:00 AMOutfishin7, the slough is open Jan 1 to Aug 31. Not sure why they picked those dates as one could "inadvertently" target young and old salmon/steelhead. And with the warm water temps in the summer, any slamon/trout species caught will most likely die after being released.
