Planned on heading to Southern Washington for business so we decided to make it a worthwhile trip and spend a couple of hours on the Kalama. We arrived before sunrise and tried to catch some restless zzzzs. At daybreak, the weather was grey and a light rain fell. We fished the Beginner's hole for a couple of hours without a single bite or a single splash. I rated this experience a "1" since we didn't have a single bite, but it should be noted that it was an awesomely fun and rewarding trip just to fish it with a great fishing buddy. This is a gorgeous piece of water and I hope those who left their trash on previous trips realize how special a place it is and remember to clean up after themselves on future visits.
