Had the day off and wanted to hit Reiter before the floods come for the weekend. Decided to hit the highway side. I let my wife drive my truck to get to work safely last night which left me with the car. Roads were fine until Gold Bar, the parking lot was buried with snow, luckly I packed my snow shovel. I dug my self a parking spot in the lot and hiked to the river. Hiking was a pain, needed snow shoes. I got to my spot and the was suprised at all the snow chunks floating around. I got here this far, I mind as well go fishing. I tried fishing in the open windows of snow chunks, but realized the windows closed up pretty fast. No thanks to the wind and the freezing rain, I decided to go home in a couple hours, the falling limbs from the furs behind me expedited my decision. Saw few other die hards on the reiter side with no luck. Oh well, can't catch them all the time, and I got home safe.
