Well I got out of school early because they had to shut down for bomb threats so I decided since my dad was off work we should go try a little fishing. When we got there it was a little windy. We tried fishing for the big bass we know are in there, but didn't get much. I think it's slow right now because of spawn. We got some bites we figured to be panfish. They panfish aren't hungry but very aggresive. We saw several large mouth bedding on sandy openings in the weeds. The bass we saw were probably in the 2-5 pound range. We headed up to the northern half of the lake and we caught a few little tiny bass and one bluegill (around 5 in.) but nothing major. All in all the trip was more of a scout for later in the year. We saw a big bass roll the surface but failed to find anything the big ones were going to take. While pacvking it up to head home I saw a big bass (2-3 pounds right under the talk and several nice panfish (7-9 in.). We will head up to Whitestone agian in a few weeks and hopefully get some big ones. Tight lines everyone.
