i hit the upper green today for the first time. started out just down stream from hwy 18. saw a few movin, but couldnt hook up. moved up to metzler park. hooked into more than a few chum. nothing but boots, but some still have fight in them and at this point im just looking to get my pole bent. these were my first chum. there were some big boys out there.

i have a question for anyone with the knowledge to answer. i did some hiking down river, and there was an offshoot, had kinda a creek feel to it. my gps and maps on my phone show that it connects at both ends to the main river. so is this littl offshoot still part of the green or is it a creek? if its not part of the green, is it open waters? it was loaded with chum and a few dark coho. saw some guys fishing it and they said that it was part of the green, but they were the only ones i saw down it. just want to knbow if i can fish it tomorrow when i go back with a friend of mine.

yeah, kinda figured it was. i slayed the chum in there also. went back the next day and did it again with a buddy who need to get the salmon skunk off his back. was pretty tough to get them in the mouth though, had to floss them pretty much the whole time, maybe one or 2 out of 20 went out of its way to chase and strike my gear.
