i have lived on hicks lake all my life and every year i go out and fish for those beautys we all call bass well last summer about mid august i am out just for a couple hours fishing docks and i am buzzing along and i skip a non- weighted senko under a dock on the far side of the lake i let it sit for a bit and then i titen up the line... and it gets taunt fast and i was like oh man im hooked up on a cross frame of the dock and so i start to pull the line a little and my rod tip bends with it and all of a suden about a five pund large mouth bass came swimming out with the bait in its mouth so i get ready and i set the hook im fighting this beauty for about 3 minuets and he is thrashing and jumping out of the water beautiful pink gills (healthy fish i might add) and then it swims be hind two pads and loose him, pops the bait out ... i leave for bit pissed off
and come back alittle while later and the bass hits me again and this time i was ready and i pull him into the boat.. i take a snap shot and throw him back in it was a nice bass so when its real hot out and late after-noon hit the docks becuase the bass love to hange out under them.. i'll keep reading this lake for you guys and update every once and a while...
