I took my wifes little brother fishing at Wapato on Sunday. I know a lot of fish have been stocked there including the Tripoly. He was pretty excited until we got to the dock. The place was shoulder to shoulder on the South dock and the worst part about it was that half of the people fishing were adults. I convinced him to try his luck from shore but after two hours, and a jar of power bait, we ended up going home empty handed. I'm not sure if those people fishing on the dock know that Wapato Lake is a juviniles only lake. Maybe more signage or a visit by the game wardens once in awhile would stop some of the adults from stealing the kids fish.
Next time we'll take my 10' row boat and not have to worry about the dock.
