Fished the cascade on sunday monday and today. The river was actually really hot on sunday, planed on hitting the hump or the satsop on sunday with all the rain it blew so i headed to the cascade. The fish were moving in with the high water and i hooked over thirty and kept four that were bright and one steelhead.monday morning was also good got my four and released quite a few.Today i got there around noon and they were gone, figure they dropped back to the skagit due to the fact that it was low and clear.I only hooked one on the skagit today and saw that it was foul hooked and cracked it off.The river has been fishing really well on the receeding times after a freshet. Most of the fish are four to ten pounds with a few in the low teens.I have caught a few on eggs with sulfite cure and thats what the steelies have been been caught on.All my coho were on driftgear and long leaders and small offerings.had some awesome days and now that we had some rain im off to fish the snohomish system and the coast and gathering chantrelles.Sorry i dont take fish pictures due to the fact that I have no camera, could care less if people believe me.Good luck and tight lines.Time for me to concentrate on work and hope i can hit the 522 area of the snohomish and wallace sultan area or the lower raging for steelhead after i make some money for more fishing.I think I need a 12 step program called anglers anonymous.Peace
