My buddy John and I were finally able to get out for the first time this year and decided to try Blackman's Lake in Snohomish. This was a new lake to us so after seeing that all the other boats and tubes on the water were fishing shallow we decided to do the same. After 45 minutes of sitting and getting caught up on life I finally caught my first fish. A respectable 12 incher. After that slow start the day got even slower. The bites were few and far between. I managed to limit out but it took me 5 hours to do it. The fish were all respectable ones in the 12 inch range with only one that was smaller and all were caught on orange Power Bait. I did have one break me off at the boat that would have been in the 3 pound range so if anyone catches a nice 3 pounder with a gold hook in its mouth I'd like it back please. The fish, not the hook! Oh yeah, John didn't want me to say anything but he got skunked. Sorry John (tee hee hee).
