A friend and I decided to hit the Carbon on opening day, and got there at about 1:30 PM. Went to the rope-swing hole, saw some fish jump, but no action. I was casting by the large tree that fell into the top of the pool, and either caught a fish or a hard-fighting branch. Whatever it was, it was only there for three seconds. Moved upriver and saw five hook-ups, four from the same 15' slot. One was landed,(a twelve pound king,) two broke off, and the others were lost because of stupid attempts at landing the fish. The man downriver of me hooked-up three times, and I would have had his spot, but while I retied a leader, two guys moved down and took it. Within minutes, he had a hookup. Lost it when his buddy grabbed the leader. Going back Friday. Tight lines!

Thanks for the report but why is this for the Puyallup if you went to the CARBON?

this spot sounds like a spot on the puyallup not the carbon... never been to the carbon but at 115th, i believe it is, there is a rope swing and a tree that fell in...
