Well the wind was whippin up pretty good waves crashing and spotty sprinkles, But having water levels up as they are we sorta cheated and fished Basically out of the Old Pickup!. Using a little extra weight to keep line taut and proping the old Eagle claw up through the front bumper. anyways we used multi colored marshmellows we had left over from the kids easter baskets, and thought why not! put 3 lil mellows and a crawler on a #6 red colored japanese named hook. and sprayed a bit of of shrimp anise smell gel on the whole concoction, Well after about an hour the trusty Eagle claw Rod bent like it had Jaws on the other end, and after a bit of playing the fish, well actually sorta horsed it in!..Anyways I am pleased to tell all the viewers that Fatboy Rog, caught his first respectable Trout of the year!..a bright 24" hen Rainbow weighing a respectful 4lbs.. we stayed awhile longer and caught 1 more shaker 14" and headed across to Frenchmans wasteway, caught and released a few drifting the area by the pumphouse for those who are familiar with that area. Red eggs and a bit of worm seemed to do the trick there. but there not very big but on ultra lite alota fun. so give it a try and practice catch and release as we did because you may get alotta action as waters warm..and we need to save the trout that go up the wasteways to escape Walleyes. for WashingtonLakes.com this is Fatboy Rog. Have fun and take a kid fishing the rewards you get are far better then just a day of Fishing
until next time "HAVE A GREAT DAY"
