Got to the cascade with my buddy around 4am...just light enough to get going. We were targeting dollies with the possibility of a king. My 2nd cast it was still kinda dark but fish on....good fight....about a 21 inch dolly....my first ever....so I'm keeping it.....2 casts later...fish on again! This time an 18 inch dolly. After that I switched to driftinh with sand shrimp due to the several 15+ pound kings rolling by but no luck. My buddy landed and release 5 dollys all around 18 inches. Good day of fishing and will be out again tomorrow bright and early with some eggs and prawn to hopefully get a king or 2!

Nice looking fish. Been meaning to get up there. Maybe this week is a good bet.

What part of the river were you getting those dollies in? I fish from the hatchery down to the skagit all the time, but i have never seen or caught a dolly! I only fish in the winter when there are steelhead though, are they not in the river at this time??
