I planned my attack but I really had no idea what I was in for since I was going to a spot I had never been on the Sultan river upstream of the powerhouse. After a minor blood letting do to sticker bushes and navigating some unstable cliffs I got to the river . It was stunningly beautiful . I put on my trusy #4 Nickel Blue Fox and it didn't let me down. I actually lost track of exact numbers but I released everything I caught. 3 or 4 little whitefish 4 or 5 12-15" trout , these little guys were some of the prettiest I have seen. I nailed a 4 or 5 pound summer run steelhead , no witnesses so I snapped a pic. of the beauty that made my day. It had a clipped fin but I wasn't about to leave and I am picky about putting the fish I eat on ice immediatly so I released him . So many fishing holes so little time . This is an area I would suggest fishing with a partner due to the constant danger of faling rocks, rising river levels and steep terrain.
