Went down to barrier dam this morning. Water was really high so we fished the rocks just below the fish ladder. My buddy hooked up twice (one for sure was a springer) and lost them both. He was using a whole prawn (that i had cured up with a lil bit of mojo). I got one good hit all day and bonked my first springer. He was a wee guy (only 23 inches) but i'm still proud. Got him fishing a prawn tail and eggs about 10ft under a bobber. Saw lots of fish rolling until the sun came out, just too much water made things really tough on us.
