Thought I'd try the Little Spokane for the first time; Fished the shoreline only for an hour - saw one huge sucker (wasn't interested in my fly). Disappointing river - at least what I could see. Looks like it might be fun kayaking, but fishing - not so much. Guess I'll stick to the lakes. Really need to find me some pristine mountain streams.

I've heard peone creek of of argonne up north is good. never been. I fished little spokane last spring with no luck. I think it takes into early summer to get good. tht's just my hunch. Where were you at. I fished the painted rocks last year. all I got was bit by 1000 mosquitoes.

I use a brown caddis or mosquito fly about a half mile up from where it joins the Spokane river and have pulled some 16" to 18"'ers out of there, all 'Bows.
