Got to blue creek at 3:30 place was empty, walking to my favorite honey hole i heard alot of spashing coming from the wheelchair area so i new the fish were in,landed one lost about 7 and felt em' almost every other cast very exciting almost got my limit.Tightlines was right there are fish everywhere in cowlitz, saw them roll and splash all day.Glo balled till the traffic and daylight started then it got pretty tough to get a decent drift when a boat w/7 people would constantly stop right on my hole and not get any fish on! If your gonna overthrow a bank anglers drift from a boat running a guide service at least get a hookup for your clients! I didn't see that boat get a single fish all day! Oh well you get what give, had a great day and can't wait to get back out there!!

Yeah Night closure is in effect. 1 hour before and 1 hour after sunset. Im headed down to the cow tomorrow morning. Cant give up the location but its not the crowded places. Hope that we hook into springers but love the steelies and Im not picky right now lol. Good job on the hook ups.

Umm, unless i'm mistaken it looks like the the night closure is from mill creek to the barrier dam. mill creek is above blue creek right? so he should be good.

The cowlitz is a year round fishery fish bait. The area is 561 That includes the river between the mouth at the columbia to the mayfield dam which is wayyyyyy up river from blue creek the barrier shoot even mill creek. People need to keep copies and check them to make sure. I know mistakes are made but let king hunter be an example. Ignorance is not taken into consideration by the game warden. He got a ticket from casting the wrong direction. Night closure is definately in effect heres from the book.
