Fished the Cowlitz in the stretch in front of the Blue Creek launch on Sunday. Fished from 2PM to 6 PM dogging with sandshrimp and purple corky. Got 2 steelies, 1 about 8 lbs and the one pictured, about 14 lbs. Pretty slow overall, saw 5 or 6 others caught while we were there. All the fish i saw caught were on the shallow side, 3 to 6 feet of water below the hatchery intake.

Nice fish!! Nobody else on your boat had any fish? It sounds like the bank anglers had a really good day down by blue creek on Sunday.

Yeah, reading reports it sounded pretty good, I saw maybe two or three up by the launch from the bank guys but didn't spend any time down by where the creek comes in. Sound like they did well down there. Saw a couple guides take their boats out with 4 or 5 people and only 1 or 2 fish.
