Had an enjoyable first visit to Rocky Ford last weekend. Lots of reports that the fish are very selective here but had no problem sight-casting and coaxing them in to hitting an elk-hair caddis off the surface. 7 fish to hand, nothing under 20" and the biggest around 24". Love the spot. Nice change to be surrounded by friendly fellow fisherman. Will have to come back soon for another day in the sun. Remember to pick up any trash you see when you are here. It's getting pretty cluttered with garbage and we all know there is no excuse for that. Especially in a catch-n-release spot. Come on people!

Rocky Ford was stocked with 20,000 rainbows back in 1994 and has been C&R, Fly fishing only since.... one of my newest favorite spots to fish.... camping in the wind is another story... but who goes there to sleep!
