So after 2 years of river fishing i finally catch my first steelie!!!! I live up in the edmonds area so my buddy and i made the treck down to the cowlitz for the first time to try out his new wooldridge and i tied up a secret combo of a corky and yarn a certain way and my second cast i nailed a 14 pound hatcher hen. we were up about a mile from the blue creek boat launch, but what an awesome day on the water, the depth finder was marking tons of fish. i was just excited to finally have all that steelheading time i put in pay off. i will be back next weekend!!
