Hit the blue creek boat launch around 10 am. One guy had a nice buck, he was leaving. I walked past the ramps and got a pikeminnow and a sucker. Went down to blue creek area, saw only 4 people fishing, at the hole below blue creek there were 2 guys and the guy I came with.1 steelhead on the bank, stayed there till 5:30 pm. Scaled 1, hook 1, didnt feel like a steelie, solid hook set, snag, pulled harder, felt like line and a bunch of other stuff coming in slowly. But it started to move up stream, fish on, pulled drag slow and steady then came off. I had kings do that before, could that be? Wish I could have seen it. Jjust before we left todd cought a nice buck. Pretty much the whole river to yourself. About 5 boats on the water....good luck.

Did anybody hear or read that the state is gonna start charging an extra fee to fish Columbia and all its tribs? I think it will be $8.97 for the fee. I read article at Auburn Sport and Marine on Saturday.

Thanks for the report. Were the boats doing any good? I don't mind paying the fee. Maybe it will keep those that aren't so "reg" minded off those tributaries.

Thanks for the report. I think it's well worth it to pay the fee. I try somewhat regularly to fish the rivers down that way and it looks like that'll be the only way to continue to do so. Maybe it'll thin it out down there a little. It can get kinda crowded in some spots.
