Hit the Skook about 6:30 in the morning hopin' for some steelie action. Saw a few jumpers. Had a decent hit early but lost it when I didn't set the hook soon enough. Caught a little one only about 11 inches. Threw it back (couldn't keep it anyways). Threw everything I had at 'em. Spoons, spinners, drift jigs, float jigs, worms, sandshrimp, eggs, plastics, hybrids, etc. Worked it till about 3:00 and called it a day. Didn' get skunked this time. Maybe next time I'll find a nice one... Maybe...

wtg no skunk huh. If it was a few inches bigger ya coulda kept it. 14 and above there. Im not sure if ya seen but im headed down to the cow the 26th - 27th my daughters bday is on the 28th I almost got my head knocked off for forgettin.

Yep, kitchen sink fishing is what I have been doing lately too. At least you got out and fished a new system.

I heard stories of the skook being a secret honey hole, so i fished hard for 2 years just saw alot of people and zero steel. haven't been back since.

Yah, pooh. I'm gonna try to catch up with ya down there. Might have to put together a carpool gig though. It was nice down there jens. Sweet little spot.
