Went down to reiter pond on the skykomish and had no luck what so ever. Didnt even see a fish caught all day. Reiter pond was full of fishermen when i first got there and around 10:30 in the morning they seemed to disapear. Heard reports from other fishermen that only one steelhead was pulled out in the couple days preceding to saturday. Me and my buddies stuck it out till 4 in the afternoon before calling it quits. I was quite surprised not to have even caught a rainbow or dolly varden. Even though we didnt catch any fish it was a beautiful day out and the scenery on the skykomish was awesome

Thanks for the report. I was thinking about heading out there this weekend and you just saved me a trip. I can't believe it's dead there already.

yeah i heard from other fishermen that it was good in the months of december and january but i think because it is in transition from the hatchery runs and the native runs that its been slow everywhere. My buddy pulled a 9 pound steelhead out of the skagit 2 weeks ago so im thinking about heading there before the season closes.

Yah, rough season for some of us. Oh well... Time to gear up for the springers!!!
