The wife gave the approval to go fishing. Arrived at the 116th hole around 3pm. Several trucks there. Saw 4 people there fishing. One floating and the rest cork/yarn. Talked to one fellow, had a nibble but nothing landed. The water level is down now, slow-med flow, visible for about 2-3 feet. Decided to give it a shot, started off with corky/yarn with 1/2oz cannon ball. Getting alot of snags on the rockfish, but able to save my lines. Started moving up slowly to BS's secret hole. You would think that I would have learned my lesson, NO, caught that same freaking "overhangingbranchfish" twice, breaking my line both times, then caught two rockfish back to back, both times breaking my line. Tried using my blue fox spinner, YES, another "overhangingbranchfish", broke my line. Decided to try my float setup, spooled brand new braided lines on. no action. It started to get dark around 5:30pm, time to go home. No fish for anyone while I was there. I'm thinking the winter run is over for all the rivers now. Maybe wait for those springers in spring. Any luck elsewhere?
