Third time's the charm, right? No.
Third trip to the Snoqualmie in as many weekends and nothing to show for it except for some scenic pictures. Got to the Tokul hole right before 7am. 34 degrees. One other car there and the guy was suiting up. Worked my way to the head of the hole and had my choice of position. The water was low and clear. Worked jigs for the first 45 minutes. People started showing up with the light and wasn't long before I was pushed out by the overdrifters. After trying a spinner, I gave up and moved to the bottom of the hole. Fished some good looking water for another 2 hours using jigs, drifting eggs/yarn/corkies, and tossing spinners. Saw one caught by the same guy who got to river ahead of me this morning. Packed it up and moved to the Tolt mouth. Less people there, but still no fish using the same methods. Quit at noon. Beautiful morning to go wading.

Thanks for the report. Try the Sky next time as it has a better run of fish this late in the season.

Nice report. Me and kinghunter were out there about 7:00 too. Probably saw you there. We didn't have much luck either. Oh well better luck next time. TIGHT LINES!

Was it you that I was talking to while I was really fumbling with the bobber and jig, just getting snagged on the bottom and broke my line couple of times? I was asking you alot of questions on your cork bobber and depth setup and weights. I was wearing a red vest, red hat, tall 5'4", korean angler. Either way the people were very nice, especially the guy that caught the only fish there too. It was a very slow day. Always my luck missed the big run.

kinghunter, I saw you. I was the guy who was out on that point when you and salmonslayer first showed up. Black stocking cap and tan fishing vest. After the guy you're talking about crowded me in on the right side and took over the entire drift from Tokul, I cleared out. Between you and him, I was unhappy with how much water I had left to work with, so went looking for more space. I went down to the rock outcropping (from where the picture was taken) and then saw that guy in the middle catch his fish. I couldn't see it well from where I was, about how big was it (pending you got a close up view of it)? Also, did you find out what he was using? At least I hear you caught a fish that day...I ended up with a big zero. Maybe next time. I hear you on the luck with missing the big runs. lol.

Hey BentRod,
Sorry about the crowding, I was watching those guys float and basically most of the time they would cast out very far and just let it slowly drift right back towards them and that's where they said they were catching them in the past. I noticed they really didn't have any casting order while combating. I know couple of you guys got tangled with my line when I had snagged a rockfish, and I was trying hard to unsnag it but eventually had to snap my line off. The fish was a beautiful bright chrome and the guy said about 6-7#s. Do you know if it gets better in Feb?
