Bobber down! That is the first time my bobber has gone down due to a fish in a river. Ok...it was a trout (about 8 inches). The river had people all over. They started at the openings upriver from the Johnson Creek road. I thought I wouldn’t be able to get a place but lo and behold, Fishinrob’s spot was open. So I hurried and got over there because cars were still arriving. Well Rob, I don’t know that your spot is the same but where I was last year, by the fallen tree, is where the trout took my jig. I saw several red silvers swimming. It looked like most everyone in that stretch was fishing with bobbers.
I didn’t see anyone with steelhead. I didn’t fish long there for two reasons: 1) I couldn’t remember if I locked my vehicle in my rush to fish. 2) I wanted to go down to Bucoda to see if there were any other spots to fish. The water visibility was about one foot and today the river was at 500cfrs and 7.15 feet.

Thanks for the report Toni. What a difference a couple weeks makes, When I was here in early January, it was totally empty.

I was down there this last weekend working and not fishing. The river always looks so inviting. Toni is the whole river open to fishing?
