Did about an hour and a half's worth of sunset fishing from shore at Meadow Lake.

I had gone for a walk here in the morning and encountered a crappie fisherman who said he had caught one so far, but had landed about seven or eight a week earlier.

I tried fishing close to the brush using a rattletrap for bass and a 1/8 oz jig with chartruese grub for bass or crappie. I managed one small crappie and a lot of snags.

Another angler that evening reported catching a couple of perch in the 8 to 9 inch range but that was all. A pretty slow day on Meadow Lake - but a pretty place to spend a spring Saturday evening.

Temp was apx 50 degrees, cloudy, slight breeze.
