First steelhead fishing excursion of the season for me. Went to fish the Snoqualmie just up river from Fall City. Started fishing at 6:45a and quit at noon. The wind was pretty strong coming down the river and didn't ever really let up. People started showing up about 9am and various places around me became occupied. Quite a few boats drifting the river. Water clarity was about 1-1.5 feet. Mainly drifted cured roe with a pink or orange corkie and pink or orange yarn. Also tried a couple Blue Fox lures and a silver spoon between hangups. Thought I had one light hit on one of my drifts with the roe, but couldn't be sure. I also tried the yarn/corkie/roe under a float for a little while, but the wind was driving me nuts, so gave up. Didn't catch anything and didn't see anything caught. Glad to be out, but could have done without the wind.
