I got to the river through the campground at 10:30am to see a man bringing in a nice Chum which he released. He had one bleeding on the gravel, too. Another man down off to the left was bonking one and I saw him fight another shortly after that. The man on my right hooked 4 more (2 got away) and he released 2 within a half hour. Someone I knew stopped by to show me his huge chrome Chum (I thought it was a silver). So I went up to where he was fishing. There were a few hooked but nothing I saw caught after that. I had one on for a few seconds but that was it for me and I left just after 2pm still Chumless. I think the river visibility was about a foot. I was cold but the guides on my rod didn’t freeze. It was foggy just above the trees and occasionally I would see blue sky but it never cleared up.

No, I wasn't on the gravel bar. I was in the tenting area.

Thanks for the report, Toni. I'm vacillating between hitting the nisqually or the green. Is this tenting area up or downstream from the gravel bar?

IB it is upriver. Just follow the road not turning to go to the gravel bar.
