Went fishing just down river of the hatchery, only myself and one other out. Found a small stream feeding the river where the coho were stacked thick! River was flooded, I think they were all resting to get out of the way of the debris coming down. Stayed out for about 4 or 5 hours, left just before sundown and I couldn't keep them off my line! Caught and released 10, most averaging between 10 and 16 lbs. I will say, for being on their last leg (most were starting to look pretty rotten) those suckers put up a fight! All in all a great day of fishing, sorry, no pics, had a bad experience taking my camera down to the river so I didn't have one on me. Tight lines all, I'll definetely have to hit it again this week!

bluebullitt: Heading west from Sequim, I turned left on Taylor Cutoff Road. Follow it down a couple miles and take a left on Fish Hatchery Road. Follow that down until just before the hatchery. I was fishing at the point that the river bends and starts running parallel to the road. Good spot, hopefully it'll stay good for a few more days. They were all holed up in the small offshoot of the river that feeds into that bend. Good luck if you go!
