well i was at the green and was talking to jens and we decided to hit up the skoke.it was my first time so i really wanted to go.some how we got mixed up on meetiing there and i ended up there first, only about 15-20 mins,so when i got there everybody said it was dead and when i was tying up i saw a fish landed.after i tied up about the second cast or so,FISH ON,and eveybody looked at me funny, probly cause i just got there.so i just about had it to shore and i tried to horse her in and forgot i switched to light gear and broke my leader.oh well its starting off good.so jens shows up and we are fishing for a little and he hooks into a silver that is doing acrobatic moves,it goes down river a little so i start to fish again and he walk's up empty handed witch really sucked.so we are fishing again and i hooked into another and just started cranking it in and the hook came out.so now im mad at myself for not thinking when i hooked a fish cause i put my skills aside and was just horsing them in.after losing enough gear, when i was tying up i saw a hook on the ground and said to myself "this guys bad luck is going to give me good luck"so i hooked it into my hoody string and the next couple cast i hook into a fish.i stopped and thought to myself and remembered all my skills and ever so gently landed the fish in the pic.when i was done i went for that hook i found and it was gone.NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!kept fishing and didnt feel a thing.god i wish jens landed that silver it was so bright and wild

Too bad you didnt have a good day on the skok. Yesturday we hooked into alot of fish. There is alot of good chum in there. And alot of silvers still there too. Purple yarn black hook 1 oz weight. or red corky red yarn red hook 1 oz weight. 1st time I went the purple set up. 2nd time I went the red set up.

Im not sure where you were, but if you pass all those people and park at the first gate you come to, then walk all the way through the field . There is another gate, go through that one. There is a trail that takes you to a good spot. A creek comes out right there and the fish stack up there nicely. You can see the bridge down the river from that spot. The creek up the river about a 1/4 mile is too snaggy.
