Went up to the Wallace Hatchery area before the rain set in. I didn't have the right bait/tackle and was using spoons, but some guys were catching them with eggs and floaters. Most of the fish caught were very dark -- not sure what kind of eating they would be. Saw a lot of fish jumping, mostly dark/red ones. No luck for me, but still a fun spot to visit.

I am not sure of what the names are, but it was maybe 500 yards down from the hatchery intake, around the river in two or three bends. The water was clear as a bell and cold. It started pooring rain as we left.

@bigbowkes - how do you get there?
Me - take Highway 2 east of Startup, look for the signs. Park in front of the hatchery building, and follow the trails around to the river.
