Headed out to the Skook after a COMPLETELY WASTED drive to Minter Creek, and it was well worth the drive. My buddy caught a 25# king on his first cast, and throughout the next 4 hours I landed 3 kings and 2 silvers, and he landed another king and a silver (all C&Rd). We each hooked up probably 5 or 6 other times too, but ya can't win 'em all. We got there at about 915 (due to all of the wasted time driving to minter) and left at about 1. I don't think that there was a single person there that didn't catch at least 1 or 2. Also 2 of Kings were still in pretty good shape, too bad you can't keep any out of this river.

Hi, just a little friendly advice , if you can't keep chinook on that river you can't take them out of the water if a warden happened
to see you doing that it could be very painful to your wallet.

Oh... Good to know, thanks for the tip. Other than a couple times last year, this year is pretty much my first year fishing in WA. My bad.

Yep, good advice Steve. I caught a Wild Coho couple weeks ago on the Cow that I so wanted to take a picture of. It was my biggest Coho ever and it was super chrome. I took a mental note and released her unharmed.

This was my first time at this river, so I couldn't really tell you for sure, but I think it was Tenino. I went with a buddy who knew the area. We parked in a roundabout just across the street from a fenced off area at the top of a salmon ladder. I know it wasn't the hatchery though, beacuase he mentioned that we could go up further to the hatchery if fishing sucked where we were. The entire river is full of fish though, you could catch fish almost anywhere right now.
