Hit the lake early on Fri. Hit a few browns B4 first light - not me!, my buddy - fish about 19"/20". Moved around quite a bit to locate hot spots. Did well in one spot for nice, fat, healthy bows. (A lot nicer fish than the ones from the lake we fished the previous weekend.) Just a few people on the lake today. Fished until about 1900, after dark.
Sat. - Up again and on the water B4 sunrise. Hit a 17" brown on the first cast, good omen? Nope, one other hit in this area and moved on to find them. Did find quite a few more. Busy, busy, busy today - I figure 30+, tube, prams, pontoons out there.
Sun. - Slept in, on the water about 0800. Fished until 1100. We found a sweet spot, ended up the morning with about (20).
We did catch more than our share over the 2-1/2 days, but we did put in our time. Figure that between three of us, about 40 - 45 fish.
The flies of success were a real mixed bag: Water boatman, black flash back, olive damsel, leeches - Black, WB's - Olive, Olive bead head crystal flash, maroon, black.
