I was on the stilly today I caught 2 male humpies.

there was one fella with waders got a beautiful silver with a green tipped dick nite I believe, It had to be 10 pounds I saw no one else catching any, I did however see a couple jump.

Green seems to be a hot color right now, I had 2 green corkies and once I lost them it slowed down quite a bit.

I think the best part about my trip today was I caught a STICK, Let me explain.

In the early am (~ 7:am or so) I went to the town of snohomish since it was low tide and tryed a few casts, but mostly I was there to see if I could scrounge some tackle. All I saw was dead fish everywhere and smelly, worst part was there were so many of them covered in mud and looking like rocks it was hard to avoid stepping on them.

I left for the stilly before I could slip on one and hurt myself.

The stick I snagged had 3 dick nites and about 20 hooks and some gear / lures/ weights and tackle on it! I think I did a happy dance right then and there.

Other than the biggest barbed treble hook Ive ever seen, Most of the gear I salvaged from that was legal to use there (barbless hooks ect) That made me feel good, I'm glad they do a lot of enforcement in that area, Maybe its working.

That stick was a good catch! I saw you reel it in. I was the guy who left about noon, you ask how I did and I told you I broke my reel... I broke the reel bringing in a male pink the I fin hooked. Had to drag in to shore... I caught two other pinks I threw back earlier in the morning. Now I gotta go get a new reel.

dupemaster--I know the feeling I also recently broke my handle of my real, the handle just snapped off. Wish I could say it was on a silver but it was just another humpy. The reel was a shimano, so I checked for shimano parts online and they wanted $20.00 for a handle, I checked ebay and got the whole real(shimano fx4000) for only $5.24, used but was like new and in better condition then mine so instead of putting that handle on mine I just saved my old one for parts. I just got it in the mail yesterday and now I have a extra spool for my reel.
