So I fished the Green River again, just up from the Auburn Golf Course. Tried something new for me, drift fishing using corkie and yarn and some eggs. I was drifting in a medium current section of the river that flows into a big dropoff, I suspect a pool about 7-10 feet deep, not really sure though. Anyhow, I got some pinks, both male and female. No silvers yet though, I don't think I even saw one. I did however see some Sockeye, or what I think was Sockeye? I am pretty sure Sockeye cannot be kept in this river, but am I seeing things or could those have been Sockeye?

Sockeye don't run in the green river. You were seeing humpys.

They red fish you see are Spawned out Coho.

Snake needs to re-read the regs. There are occasional lost sockeye but I doubt you saw a school. There are alot of kings spawning in that area.

I know there is no bait, if I read the rules correctly. These are them fake eggs bought from the store, I thought they were legal...

I think they must have been coho then, they were very red, much more red than any humpies I have seen. Yes, there have been a few decent Kings caught in there area, including by myself.

Jsb, anything with scent is considered bait.

Well, thanks for the clarification on eggs, I won't be using them anymore.
