Decided to hit the Nooksack at Hovander Park this afternoon to see if I could scare up any fish. Nothing biting yet, but did see a couple rollers. Hopefully within the next week or two they will be in there... If they don't all get netted before passing the Slater Rd bridge.

Good Luck on that. We used to give them a little something help the fish with the nets, right off the Slater bridge...... Bales of straw.

I noticed your Nooksack report post and thought that I would offer a friendly word of caution. I just looked at the WDFW regulations pamphlet and double checked the web-site for rule changes and it appears that only the lower Nooksack is open (September 1 through December 31). It is open for retention of hatchery coho and chum salmon only. October first portions of the upper river (Deming on up to forks and then portions of the north and south forks) will open for retention of hatchery coho and chum salmon only. Good luck and double check the WDFW website for any rule changes that may be in place.
