Well, hit the Green this morning, Got there and was amazed. There was about 20 feet out, of nothing but fish for the 3 hours while I was there. They werent biting my spoon, so I made a little jig. I put a weight at the top of my corky and threaded the yarn to a puff and tied it as a tail behind the corky so I was able to jig it. Only a few were hungry. Hooked 6, got one INTO THE NET as he he leaped out, snapping my line. Ugh!!!!!!!!

you should try flossing as it will work better

Flossing is the same as snaggin. Out of all the lures at the store, long leaders are not the only thing that salmon like to eat.

I don’t understand this, could someone clarify this for me? I read the sports pamphlet rules about fishing for salmon on the Green River. It says that from Aug 22 - Aug 31 we can only use a single hook. It doesn’t say anything about using a lures with treble hooks such as a Kastmaster, can we use treble hooks now that it’s after Aug 31st?

I have seen lots of people trying to floss on the green. The other day I caught 8 while two flossers caught zero. Fish were slamming my pink jig and following it all the way in. Its pretty pointless to floss on the green in these conditions. Its single hook, no bait or scent right now. Thanks for the report.
