Landed at Beda Lake with several of the club members around 9a.m. Only a few people there. Clear, cool day (mid fifties) with a water temp of 52 degrees. Headed out for the main body of water and ran into five other boats drowning chironomids with little action. I mainly slow-trolled leech patterns until I realized the fish weren't going to expend much energy. Ended up dead drifting the deep parts of the lake and started getting some serious results. Ended up with nine fish to twenty inches including two on dries, casting to the rings. My buddy netted the biggest fish I've ever seen there, a hen at 25" and full of eggs. No worry, she swam off at full speed after a brief fight...
