started the morning at 112th st, about an hour before low tide. set up south of the pedestrian bridge. use a long 3 inch, skinny pink spoon on 3 ft of leader and a mediem bullet wieght at the swivle.. hooked in to the biggest fish of my life, but the drag was set to hard and after 10 sec or so it snaped my line and shot my wieght back, right at my face.
so i played with a few other lures and got nothing fo about 45 min. lost 2 or 3 lures to snags. then i had one more of that same 3 inch skinny spoon. tied it on, made sure my knot was good and strong. threw it around for a few min and zing, my drag (which i loosened up so as not to have the same results as before) took of up river. i let him run for a second then thumbed the drag just a little and my line snapped. it was either the same fish or one equaly as big. saw it jump once, but im no expert about what fish look like so im not sure what it was. i would guess in the 15 pound range.
so i went and got new line put on, picked up a couple more of those spoons and went back to the river. i went to the 42nd street bridge and hooked in to 2 nice 3 pound humpies. one was tail hooked. good fight but i let it go.kept the other.

it is now 6;55 on monday morning and i am meeting with a couple buds to hit the snoho. hopefully ill be reporting back with a limit.
