Girlfriend and I fished for about 60-90 minutes yesterday. We were both feeling a little under the weather so we cut out early; however, the fishing was great. She landed a 22" Silver and I got a 26" Silver. (taught myself the importance of having a net as we lost several pinks from flipping around and my fingers got ripped up by the Silver's teeth)

We could have easily limited pinks, but several jumped loose when we got them close, and we threw back 4-5 of them since they were too small for our tastes.

We used mostly Orange Corkie with orange or red yarn. At one point I brought in a monster of a pink with an orange corkie and a spin and glow with no yarn at all.

The river is going nuts at this point, and if you leave without your limit you're having horrible luck or doing something wrong.

thanks for the advice last night! the girls bailed on me( they wanted to sleep in) so my friend Paulie and I found a great spot along the dike road to fish.We were there for a couple of minutes and could see all the fish were being caught on the other side of the river. we drove to the other side via the bridge (66th st) and proceeded to have a great day of fishing. red corkies and yarn did the trick for us.I hooked and lost several fish, one almost to the beach like yours. we ended up with three nice fish and called it a day.it was cool how it would slow down for a couple of minutes, then boom it was fish on for several anglers at once.plan to be back soon.keep up the great reports.
