There were 19 of us who ran up the Palouse from Lion's Ferry on the Snake River (about two miles) where we camped from Thursday until Sat. We caught about 100+ catfish, one Walleye & a bunch of pike minnows. We had purchased fresh chicken livers from Safeway in East Wenatchee and picked them up on the way there. (32lbs.) We had four generations plus many friends and family from the Cashmere Church of Christ. A big thanks to Jim Hargrove for the use of his boat and expertise! We had a big fish feed Sunday after services. The ones who caught the most were baiting a liver about four to six feet under a slip bobber and finding the right holes. Many were caught by just luck of throwing out a chunk of liver and letting it float with the slow current. A couple of the guys hiked up to the falls and fished their way back ending up with over 40 fish. Some of these guys have been doing this for 30+ years. This was my first time and it made for some good memories. We had mostly good weather, a couple rain bursts came through on Friday, but it wasn't too bad.
